About
I designed and developed my first Web site in 1997. It was a portfolio site of my artwork. That year I found a job in the industry doing simple HTML and optimizing graphics for the Web. That’s how it all started anyway.
Over the years I have really been fortunate in my career in getting to explore different types of roles and responsibilities. I have created databases, written ASP, dabbled in 3D animation, given creative direction, written enterprise grade RIAs, designed award winning Web sites, managed teams, designed wireframes, designed logos, and sold new business.
Most of these are interactive jobs, but the main point is that I was able to do these things because I found out how to be creative in all of them. Sure, designing a logo is creative, but so is creating the framework for an RIA. And I think wireframes can be beautiful.
Creativity and curiosity have forged my career. It does come with a lot of overhead, tons of books, patients, and time. But, it’s what I love.
More about me can be found on LinkedIn and Twitter.

Hi there – I was so happy to find your presentation about the value of user-centered design on slideshare. (And equally shocked to see not a single comment about it…yet scores of positive comments about significantly inferior presos on the same subject)
I’d like to know if I can repurpose any of your content for a preso I’m doing about the same subject? You had excellent examples to back up the very clear value statements. Thanks!!
